Adding to the realism are farm animals and stagecoach rides. Wild West Days and Civil War re-enactments take place there.

The Adam Legler Barn Museum consists of a restored stone barn dating back to 1864. More local history can be discovered at the Harry S. Truman National Historic Site. Swope Park is one of the largest urban parks within the U.S. where visitors can tour all-over the Heart of America Golf Course.

With such businesses like Honeywell, Husqvarna, ALDI, Garmin and Grundfos, the city of Olathe has developed a good industrial and commercial base. The Air Route Traffic Control Center (designated ZKC) administered by the US Department of Transportation is one more major source of employment. Johnson County Executive Airport, within Olathe, is one of the busiest within Kansas.
